Overview

This course is designed to examine the emotional, social, and cognitive issues affecting young children, their families, and the therapeutic relationship. As a result of participating in this program, attendees will be able to identify current issues in child theory, development, and practice. They will be able to assess different childhood problems and ascertain how to address them with the best evidence-based findings. Along with didactic lectures, interactive learning formats will be offered, such as case studies, panel presentations, and Q and A. This course will help close the gap between what we know and what we do in helping to identify and treat at-risk young children and their families.
