Overview

This course is designed to offer an update on the latest research findings and clinical applications in the diagnosis and treatment of autism spectrum disorders in children, adolescents, adults, and their families. It will inform attendees of the changing body of knowledge and competence in the delivery of autism treatment. The scientific basis for ASD, early risk factors, and co-morbidity associated with autism spectrum disorders will be reviewed. 

Interactive learning formats, including group case discussions, Q and A, panel presentations, and didactic lectures will be used to assist the learners in developing new strategies that they can apply in their practice setting. 


The course is intended for mental health and health clinicians and others interested in the principles and practices of autism spectrum disorders.
